The treatment takes about 30 minutes to an hour. Afterwards, you will see the results straight away. Moreover, the effects will last between 6 months and 2 years, depending upon the areas treated and the filler used.

Every filler is different and your doctor will discuss how long your results should last. Hyaluronic acid fillers can last between six months and two years, depending on the type and location of the filler. These fillers can also be dissolved if necessary. Other fillers can’t be dissolved. Your doctor will discuss the expected longevity of your fillers during your consultation.

Most people don’t find dermal fillers too painful, but you might feel a sharp scratch with the injection. We can provide numbing cream to help with pain management if necessary.

It is important that prior to any treatment, that you avoid any products containing aspirin as this thins the blood and can cause bruising around the injection site. After injection, it is important not to touch the area due to the risk of introducing infection into the area.

Dermal fillers are convenient in the fact they have very minimal side effects and most people can resume daily life as normal. Some people experience mild swelling, bruising, or redness around the injection site, but this can usually be covered with makeup.

Avoiding aspirin products before treatment is advisable as these can thin the blood and increase the chances of bruising on the injection site. You should also avoid alcohol if possible.

When your fillers gradually wear off, the treated area will begin to return to its original shape. This generally happens slowly. Many people go on to have more dermal fillers treatment in the same area.
